Programs:
Participants experience a whole innovation journey, going through the different phases of the creative process over a 6 months period.
The winning teams travel to Silicon Valley at the end of this cycle, to continue developing their projects and soak up the entrepreneurial and innovative culture of that region.
Since 2021, the company has participated in the HORECA Challenge, together with Bodegas Torres, MediaPro, and Pepsico, with the aim of promoting innovative projects in the field of hospitality.
In 2022, along with Festival Cruïlla, an innovation challenge was launched to make festivals 100% sustainable: the Sustainable Festival Challenge.
At the beginning of 2023, LAB1876 has organized the first sole call to startups, the Business Impact Challenge, which seeks solutions for a more efficient business.
Through these enablers, the company may have access not only to an extensive base of startups but also to the latest trends in the field of technology and innovation.
Over the year, the Open Innovation team also visits relevant ecosystem hot spots (The Web Summit, 4YFN, The Next Web, Viva Technology...) as well as embark in scouting Missions across the most interesting hubs.
From the Open Innovation department we have promoted different agreements to address the company's challenges with the help, mostly, of startups but also of other organizations with common interests and problems.
